  • Research summary

This clinical evaluation aims to assess the aesthetic outcomes and patient satisfaction following nasolabial fold treatment using a CE-marked dermal filler (AILEENE Vol. 2) administered through a novel injection technique called the Bridging Technique. This method uses a blunt-tipped cannula to place small amounts of filler in retrograde linear threads under the skin, creating support while using minimal product.

All treatments will be provided by a GMC-registered doctor in a private clinic. The intervention is already part of routine clinical practice and is not investigational.

Sixty adult participants will be enrolled. The primary objective is to measure improvement using the Nasolabial Fold Severity Scale (NLFSS) over 6 months. Additional data will be gathered through independent assessments of standardised photographs, the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS), and patient-reported satisfaction questionnaires.

This study is not a clinical trial of a new product or unlicensed device. The aim is to contribute to outcome documentation and evidence-based improvement of existing aesthetic procedures.
