Research summary
This is a multi center, international, prospective, observational study of children ≤2 years of age who have been hospitalized with Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). The aim of the study is to estimate the population based incidence rate of RSV hospitalization and to understand the burdens associated of RSV.
The study will be comprised of two parts: A total 200 participants per country will be enrolled in the RSV Hospitalization Impact Survey Study and approximately 100 enrolled per country for the Wheezing Follow Up Study.
The study will be conducted in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy with 1 NHS site in England.
Enrollment: two RSV seasons between 2020 and 2022 (typically occurs between October and March). 12-month follow-up periods after discharge
