Research summary
We are running a survey to learn more about what people with symptoms of mental health, neurodevelopmental, or behavioural conditions (conditions such as low mood, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders among others) want and need from a diet and nutrition support program. The survey will ask for some basic information (such as age, gender, ethnicity, and first 3 letters of postcode), as well as questions about respondent's current diet and what might motivate them to make changes to their diet if they want to. Respondents will also be asked to select from examples of different types of diet and nutrition support which are most interesting to them, rating their interest in the options the select, so we can understand how people’s backgrounds and preferences might be connected.
We're seeking people who have experienced at least one symptom of a mental health, behavioural or neurodevelopmental condition (either diagnosed or self-recognised) to complete the survey, along with family members/carers for these individuals and health/care professionals to get a range of perspectives on the topic. It is possible that a participant may experience the symptoms themselves, and also be a carer or health/care professional. Where this is the case participants will be offered the chance to complete the survey again to give one further additional perspective if they so choose to.
Once the survey is complete, participants will be asked if they are interested in taking part in future related research. If they are, participants will be asked to voluntarily provide their email address (or parent/guardians email address if the participant is either 14 or 15 years of age). Participants will be informed of their right to decline taking part when/if they're approached about this in the future.REC name
