  • Research summary

    Up to 60 healthy volunteers will be recruited to a randomized controlled dietary intervention study where we will investigate the effect of overconsumption of carbohydrates and fats on blood lipids and liver and cardiac function. Participants will be asked to adopt either a low carbohydrate, high-fat diet or a high carbohydrate, low-fat diet for up to 28 days. Metabolic and physiological measurements will be performed before and after the experimental diet, with participants making a total of 6 visits.
