Research summary
This study is a laboratory based study looking at discovering new biomarkers that can be used in the early detection of colorectal cancer (CRC). This will be carried out by testing for certain gene over expression (Abnormally high levels of expression) in CRC cancer cells. When those genes that show over expression are identified, the proteins that they code for can also be identified.
From these proteins, we aim to be able to devise a blood test that can aid in the early detection of CRC.REC name
