Research summary
The support given to those who are experiencing end of life care is variable and often non-existent. This project is the scoping and design phase for a longer-term implementation programme that aims to transform end of life care in Southwark and Lambeth.
Better Endings will bring together a new partnership of providers, commissioners, patients, carers and relatives. This powerful partnership will build a shared vision, a shared set of outcomes, a plan for how to change existing services and develop new forms of support and, crucially, the energy and leadership to make change happen.
This project seeks to involve a wide range of people from across Southwark and Lambeth in framing the problem and developing and testing solutions, including people who are nearing the end of life, their friends and families and frontline professionals through a series of interviews and focus groups.REC name
