  • Research summary

Blood speckle imaging (BSI) offers real-time visualisation of blood flow patterns and has shown feasibility in selected cardiovascular applications. This proof-of-concept study will determine whether BSI can generate reliable, analysable flow data across the pulmonary valve and main pulmonary artery in healthy adults, thereby providing a methodological foundation for future studies in pulmonary hypertension.Developing better diagnostic and predictive echocardiography in pulmonary hypertension would improve our ability to start potentially life-extending therapies sooner, and to monitor people’s response to treatment.
