Each project is reviewed by the Tissue Access Committee for suitability and ethical compliance. Data from research projects is returned to the Bank to avoid future duplication and enhance the value of the samples. Researchers from the medical, biomedical, cell biology and bioengineering fields may be involved in use of samples from the Bank, with the aim of better understanding the factors that impact on development, progression and treatment of breast cancer of different types.
