Research summary
The main aim of the study is to comprehensively analyse white blood cell neutrophil function in cells isolated from the peripheral blood of patients who have had multiple Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) implant failures and compare them to the function of peripheral neutrophils from patients who have had stable implants for at least 5 years.
This study will give us information on if the immune system is impacted or potentially has a role in the failure of BAHAs.REC name
