  This study seeks to understand the current state of antenatal education in the NHS, establish what ideal antenatal education looks like and develop a roadmap to introducing a standardised NHS Antenatal Education Course.

  To do this we will undertake a survey of heads of community midwifery in trusts in the UK, a survey of women and maternity staff and interviews with maternity leaders and lobby groups.

  Having collected this information we will hold engagement workshops with parents and staff to outline a proposed antenatal education package.
