Research summary
What factors are associated with liver specialist services referral of chronic hepatitis B (CHBV) cases in North East Scotland?
It is known that less than 10% of those diagnosed with CHBV attend liver specialist services for regular review. With regular review and monitoring, cases can improve self management of their condition and may be suitable for treatment, this can reduce risk of developing complications of the infection such as chirrosis and liver cancer. A cross sectional survey, using available data aims to uncover the factors associated with referral to liver specialist services. The conclusions reached will be used by clinic services and Public Health to work collaboratively to re-model services to improve specialsit services accessibilityREC name
