Research summary
Patient portals are a way for patients to electronically access their own health record information - including test results.
Despite the technology to facilitate this being available, there is not yet widespread use of patient portals.
Through this research, I will be seeking to understand more about public opinion on patient portals, and the barriers to their adoption.
Their opinions will be assessed to identify trends in the opinion of the general public towards patient portals, and to determine changes that could be made to patient portals to increase their use.
