Research summary
A research study on patient attitudes towards diabetes research using questionnaire study as very little literature is available in the UK regarding this topic. We will look at what factors stop patients from taking part in research programmes to find ways to get more patients involved in future studies. We will also look into factors that would motivate patients to get involved in research. The aim of the study is to improve research programmes in the hope of being more appealing to patients
In order to be included in the study patients must have type 2 diabetes. They must be able to read and write english to a sufficient level to be able to fill out a questionnaire.
Questionnaires will be distributed to Guys and St Thomas' trust at any diabetes outpatient clinic. Patients will be given the opportunity to opt out of the questionnaire before proceeding.REC name
