  • Research summary

    This research project is aimed to find the most effective way of communicating and delivering orthodontic information to patients and their parents in order to maximise their short-term and long-term retention of information. The study will compare three methods of providing information on the care of orthodontic appliances. Participants will be randomly allocated one of the three groups:

    Group 1: Workshop (Powerpoint presentation) + BOS leaflets (control)
    Group 2: Workshop (Powerpoint presentation) + Mind map
    Group 3: Workshop (Powerpoint presentation) + Individual Mind map created by a patient with the assistance of a clinician
