Research summary
To assess whether all groups of patients suffering from chronic illness have equal access to spiritual care, a questionnaire will be given to patients who suffer from COPD and breast cancer. This is a pilot study to work out take up rate and will be carried out on 10 patients in each group. The questionnaire provides space for patients to volunteer for a follow-up interview. This interview will give them the opportunity to tell their story of good spiritual care and/or to put forward suggestions for achieving better access to spiritual care.
