  • Research summary

Antimicrobial resistance is a global cause for concern. This study aims to determine how often resistant bacteria, called coagulase negative staphylococci, are found on the skin and inside the nose in patients with acne, rosacea or inherited eczema, after they have received treatment with prolonged antibiotics.
Once determined, these results will be compared with rates of antibiotic resistance reported in the past and resistant patterns to different antibiotics will be examined to see if they are linked, which may be a cause for concern.
