Research summary
A three phase study is planned to design an intervention to support caregivers of those with advanced heart failure. In Phase 1, 30 participants will be interviewed to explore caregivers views on their educational and support needs as caregivers for people with advanced heart failure. The findings of the interviews will be presented to a workshop of health care professionals in phase 2 for their feedback and to gain their perspectives, an intervention will then be devised. In phase 3 the intervention will be presented to the interview participants at a workshop to enable feedback and explore ways of using the intervention.
