Research summary
The Teenage Cancer Trust currently funds Youth Support Coordinators (YSCs) to provide support to teenagers and young adults (TYAs) with cancer at a range of locations around the country. The Trust recognises the value that these workers bring to the cancer care process, and is committed to investing in the role to ensure that YSCs can perform their responsibilities to the highest possible standards. This research aims, through a piece of action research, to gain a better understanding of the core knowledge, skills and attributes that these post holders require in order to carry out their work.
