This research is a project investigating experiences of stigma and discrimination in Psychosis, funded by the University of Manchester.
The study aims to investigate the the subjective concept of stigma and discrimination in psychosis as well as related psycho-social constructs such as social support, stigma resistance, affect, meta-cognitive coping and meta-cognitive beliefs. The study will implement a cross-sectional questionnaires and electronic sampling method (ESM) design, which captures the data in a momentry basis at numerous time-points throughout the day. This involves participants meeting with researchers for a baseline session of questionnaires, undertaking a six-day diary, and a debrief session following completion of the ESM diary.
This study will be recruiting from Community Mental Health and Early Intervention. We will recruit clinical population of service users with lived experience of psychosis accessing these services across the North West of England.
