  • Research summary

Our study aims to collect some additional blood from young women aged 16-25 - who have been vaccinated against HPV - who are already attending a sexual health clinic for a blood test. This blood will be processed and used to develop our memory B-cell assay looking at the response to stimulation by HPV VLPs. We wish to determine if memory B-cells responding to HPV are still present several years after vaccination. The assay will later be used in a large randomised trial comparing two HPV vaccines (the DoRIS trial).
