Research summary
Summary of Research
The AGILE-HF is a sub-study of an already funded project called Passion-HF study. Passion-HF is a European collaborative project and has been in progress since 2018, with an overall purpose to co-design an e-health device to support patients self-manage their heart failure.
The e-health device will be informed by algorithms based on Artificial Intelligence and the current expert heart failure guidelines. Therefore, the Agile-HF project will test these algorithms to ensure lead to acceptable, feasible and safe decisions. equally to what the healthcare professional would make. The use of the algorithm will NOT trigger any clinical action by the clinical team.Summary of Results
The data from this project is being analysed by The German Foundation for the Chronically Ill.(FCI). Preliminary results shows in total 110 participants were recruited across 4 sites , Dublin, Maastricht, Belfast and Aachen . These people had a diagnosis of heart failure and were not fully optimised with their medical treatment. 37% were female with half of the cohort in the NYHA II category. The median potassium levels of the participant's serum blood samples was 4.0-4.8 mmols. Further analysis of the results are ongoing.REC name
