Research summary
Entia Ltd is an award winning medical technology company delivering home monitoring solutions for the management of serious health conditions They are currently developing a home based full blood count monitoring service, called Affinity, enabling the haematological toxicity and symptoms of systemic anti-cancer therapy to be monitored in the home. This device will allow patients to monitor their blood results in their own home from a single finger prick, help to minimise the number of burdensome trips to hospital and allow healthcare professionals to remotely schedule treatment without the need for the patient to attend an outpatient or clinical setting.
The Affinity device measures the following parameters: Haemoglobin (Hb), Total white blood cell count (WBC), Neutrophil count (ANC), Platelet count (PLT)
We wish to test the prototype device in this final stage with blood samples in the laboratory before moving on to another non-clinical research study.
