  • Research summary

The study objective is to cognitively test a new national survey, which is aimed at short term users (ie reablement) of social care who are currently excluded from the "Social Care User Survey" which focuses on long term social care users. The new survey is intended to provide valuable insight into the outcome and suitability of the service currently provided to them, as well as user satisfaction. This cohort has not been surveyed since the change of the sample frame in 14/15 for adult social care data collection.

However it is important to be certain that the questions are clear to respondents. The cognitive testing will ensure that the questions are easy to understand and fit for purpose.

The survey will be administered by Local Authorities and collected by NHS Digital.
