• Data collection arrangements

  Patients will be consented by members of the surgical team who routinely have access to the patients information and records.

  When the sample has been collected it will be transferred to the SCRM for storage, processing and/or distribution. At the point that the tissue is passed to the research team it will be anonymised and known only by an anonymous code.

  Consent forms that contain patient information will be kept in a secure location away from the samples, not accessible by the research team.

• Research programme

  Anyone wishing to access tissue from the bank will need to demonstrate they have suitable facilities to receive, process, store and dispose of tissue in their local facility.
