Research summary
This study seeks to examine adherence to topical treatments and the impact of education in adult eczema patients in Yorkshire, North England. Consenting patients attending their clinic appointment at Chapel Allerton Hospital will be asked to complete a questionnaire relating to their skin treatments. Half of the study patients will be given an eczema information leaflet to take away, while the rest will not. This is something that is carried out within routine clinical practice, but not consistently. This is being included as a review of service provision. Patients will be seen again in a follow up clinic appointment where they will be asked to complete the questionnaire again.
