  Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) has emerged as the primary cause of death in patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Decades of research have implicated the Kallikrein-Kinin-System (KKS) in the pathogenesis of ARDS. This study will characterize the activation state of the KKS in patients with ARDS caused by Covid-19.
