Research summary
This study will use action research to explore the process of co-created improvements in a maternity setting and gather the experiences of those who participate. Participants will include service users (women who have recently used maternity services) and members of staff from the multidisciplinary team (such as Midwives, Doctors and Health Care Assistants/Maternity Support Workers). The study aims to identify strategies and behaviours which healthcare staff utilise in order to make service improvements in practice as well as to coproduce with participants a model/tool that can be used to enhance the service improvement process.
