Research summary
Patients will be identified from clinics. The population of the study will include patients with snoring and sleep apnoea conditions. No discrimination will be made according to gender, age range, ethnicity, socio-economic state or clinical condition. The actual cause of snoring is observed through a procedure called Sleep Nasendoscopy, as part of standard care. Patients that have been referred for Nasendoscopy and are selected for the study will also have their snoring recorded by two microphones, one throat microphone contact type and one omnidirectional acoustic measurement grade microphone. Later on, correlation of the findings of the above results will be made.
