  This database was set up with the aim of providing the Dermatology Team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust and academic collaborators access to information that would inform underlying causes and epidemiology of acne as well as risks from acne and treatments prescribed, including scarring and psychological problems. The overarching aim of developing the database was to improve outcomes for patients.
