Research summary
This study aims to assess the outcomes of ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation in the UK with current practice. The primary aim is to assess the prevalence of acute rejection in ABO incompatible (ABOi) kidney transplantation in the UK. A secondary aim is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the treatment protocols used in various UK centres for ABO incompatible transplantation; the occurrence of adverse events (including opportunistic infections); to assess anti A/B blood group antibody (IgG & IgM) titres pre- and post-transplantation and to assess the presence of non-ABO blood group antibodies post-transplantation.
