Summary of Research
Data was collected from urodynamic studies performed in patients with lower urinary tract symptoms for diagnosisSummary of Results
Data was collected from urodynamic studies performed in patients with lower urinary tract symptoms for diagnosis. Data comes from questionnaires, clinical history and results from investigations from every patient who undergoes a urodynamic study in our centre. This information is analysed to answer clinical questions regarding lower urinary tract pathologies.
There was no direct engagement with patients, except for the history that routinely takes place before any urodynamic study.
There were no significant developments in the database’s scope, operation or governance.
The database has evolved into what is likely the largest database of urodynamic data in the world. Multiple publications testify to the usefulness of this data in guiding developments in clinical practice.
A renewed ethics application is being submitted to support the continued development of this resource.REC name
