Research summary
Steroid injections are routinely used in the management of carpal tunnel syndrome. Since 2011 we have been providing these injections in a dedicated CTS clinic. The patient reported pain on injection is recorded as part of the routine clinical records at the time of injection. We propose to analyse these scores along with other routinely collected patient data to document how painful this injection is and to look for there are any correlating factors which might allow changes in procedure to reduce the pain of injection
