Research summary
Patients with bronchiectasis have daily symptoms of cough and sputum production and are prone to chest infections. However when the patients have their outpatient visits for their bronchiectasis they may not recall all their symptoms and chest infections, relying on their memory. We believe that patients have a cluster of exacerbations and by looking through the GP records we would like to discover whether this is observed in clinical practice. We would look at a 3 year period in the patients notes.
