Research summary
The study aims to develop a potential new drug for Type 2 diabetes.This study is being carried out to investigate the effect the study drug (Taspoglutide (RO5073031) has on gastric emptying (the rate at which food/fluids pass through the stomach), blood glucose (sugar) levels, and kidney function following single and multiple doses of the study drug.The study will also look at how the study drug is taken up, metabolised and distributed through the body (pharmacokinetics).
