Research summary
The study will capture the incidence and range of surgeries performed for the treatment of hip pathologies in children with Cerebral Palsy at Sheffield Children's Hospital over the defined period. There is currently no formal hip survellance system in place, and the study will help assess the effectiveness of present systems of monitoring and treatment. It is the Principle Investigator's opinion that the results of treatment are poorer than in centres in which a pro-active surveillance system is in operation.
