Research summary
In order to inform how the cervical screening programme might best communicate with women, we propose a qualitative study to explore women’s views about how they engage with the screening programme; particularly in terms of communication around the invitation for screening and communication around the delivery of results of screening.
Women who are eligible for screening (ie aged 25-65 years) will be approached and invited to take part in a semi-structured interview using cues to generate discussion during the interview. Interviews will be audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim. Thematic analysis will be used to analyse the data.
