  • Research summary

BCG is a selective immunisation targeted at babies identified at highest risk from Tuberculosis. Within the Scottish health board the uptake of BCG immunisation amongst eligible babies is poor in comparison to other vaccinations offered. Exploration of the patient and health care workers experience will enable an understanding of the barriers and enablers to BCG vaccination to support the development of a person- centred BCG pathway.
