Research summary
PET and MRI scanning is routine and very common. A new generation of medical devices, simultaneous PET-MRI scanners, have now been introduced.
It is currently not known how best to get accurate PET information using only the MRI data, rather than CT data as currently used. Furthermore, the presence of the PET will affect the MRI data.
This study plans to leverage subjects already undergoing PET-CT to collect PET-MR data from them. No additional radiation will be involved.
We will also image subjects with the MRI portion of the scanner in order to optimise the MRI collection.REC name
