Research summary
This is a multi-centre, non-interventional study in the UK. The study will be conducted in patients diagnosed with moderate Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). RA is a long-term condition that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints causing fatigue, disability, depression and decreased work productivity.
There are two components of the study:
1) data collection on patient demographics, clinical details, treatments for RA and hospital resource use via retrospective chart review for a minimum of 12 months, and a maximum of 24 months prior to study enrolment.
2) completion of a series of patient and caregiver questionnaires at a single point in time. The study will take place in the rheumatology departments of 4-6 hospitals in the UK. It is anticipated that approximately 150 patients will be included in the retrospective chart review and, allowing for non-completion, 125 patient questionnaires and 50 caregiver questionnaires will be completed. A maximum of 50 patients will be selected from a single centre.
