• Research summary

  We propose to perform a multi-centre cross sectional study to determine the relationship between joint health and factor VIII levels in patients with mild/moderate haemophilia. We will include patients with a detectable FVIII level (mild and moderate haemophilia patients) but limit to patients with FVIII level of < 0.2 iu/ml (as defined by the chromogenic assay). We have chosen this level on the basis of previous retrospective analyses, which suggest that joint damage may not occur above 0.15 iu/ml.
