Shamik has extensive leadership experience in investment banking, with a core focus on risk, regulation and transformation. He has previously been a regulator with the UK's Financial Services Authority, and also led management consulting businesses.
He remains active in executive roles within investment banking and is currently advising the leadership of Lloyds Banking Group's investment banking division to enhance their risk controls infrastructure in support of their strategic business growth ambitions.
He has held several non-executive roles in public bodies, including as a lay member of various committees of the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS Blood and Transplant, and other NHS Trusts.
