Neelam Patel is a Non-Executive Director at the Health Research Authority. She is also an Advisor on the Board of the Institute of Digital Molecular Technologies at the University of Cambridge and Life Sciences Advisor to public and private sector organisations.
She has substantial experience in the pharmaceutical industry across R&D, commercial and administrative functions, and has led programmes in the National Institute for Health Research and the public sector. Across these roles, her focus was bringing high quality clinical research into the UK for the benefit of patients and the economy.
Joining the HRA at a time when life sciences is at the top of everyone’s agenda, Neelam hopes to use her experience of leading change in complex cross-sector environments to support the HRA during the next phase of its development.
