Karen Williams joined the HRA in 2017 and was appointed Deputy Chief Executive in 2019. In her time at the HRA, Karen has led multiple change initiatives, driving efficiency and productivity in our work and making sure we have great corporate services across our people, finance, corporate governance, commercial and estates functions whilst also delivering value to the public purse.
Karen, a qualified accountant, has over 30 years’ experience in public sector, charity and social enterprise finance and over 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, including at the Dartington Hall Trust (which includes Research in Practice and Research in Practice for Adults), The Arts Council and Breast Cancer Care. Karen has also been a Trustee or financial advisor to several charities and is currently a Trustee of Rowcroft Hospice.
