New licensing system for administration of radioactive substances

Last updated on 4 Dec 2017

Researchers running or planning projects incorporating the administration of radioactive substances will need to be aware of changes to the approval process.

Reforms to the law are due to come into force in February 2018, which will bring changes to how the Administration of Radioactive Substances Advisory Committee (ARSAC) issues approvals.

ARSAC has published more details, including deadlines for receiving applications for certification under the existing Medicines Administration Radioactive Substances 1978 Regulations (MARS).
