In July we held a round table meeting to gather views and ideas about how we can better support health and social care research.
Attended by our Chair Professor Jonathan Montgomery and Chief Executive Teresa Allen, the meeting brought together key representatives from the social care research community, experts from our social care research ethics committee and HRA staff.
Our Joint Head of Policy, Amanda Hunn, organised the event.“I’d like to express my thanks to everyone who attended. We had valuable discussions about supporting social care researchers, improving research governance and developing a research culture in social care. A report of the meeting, including a plan of action, will be published later this year.
“I’d also like to thank those that contributed to our discussions via Twitter, which brought an added level of depth and diversity to the day.”
