CAG meetings dates and minutes

Valid applications received by the relevant submission dates can expect to receive an approval decision from the Secretary of State for Health (non-research) or Health Research Authority (research) within a maximum of 60 working days. 

The number of applications considered at each meeting are capped, but any outstanding valid applications will be assigned to the next available meeting. 

Precedent set review dates

Applications booked and received for precedent set review are assigned to the next available fortnightly meeting. Valid applications received by the submission dates can expect to receive an approval decision from the Secretary of State for Health (non-research) or Health Research Authority (research) within a maximum of 30 working days.


Applications booked should be received no later than 5.00pm.

When are new meeting dates published?

Meeting dates are published on a six-monthly basis.

Sub-committee and Precedent set minutes

The sub-committee meeting minutes include all advice provided by precedent set sub-committees, sub-committees and by Chair action. The date refers to the CAG meeting at which the advice was reported.
