To deliver on the Shared Commitment to Public Involvement in Health and Social Care Research the partner organisations need to act both individually and collectively to drive change.

Character Group 2 v2.jpg

To do so, we need a light-touch way to enable us to make collective decisions about how to take the Commitment forward, including:

  • Our objectives for the Shared Commitment, for example, seeking more partners, international partners
  • The process for becoming a partner of the Shared Commitment
  • What partners must do to satisfy the Commitment and any audit of this
  • Driving activity to deliver the Commitment, including sharing best practice, building the evidence base, supporting greater Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)
  • Communication and engagement about the Commitment and its objectives to keep raising the profile and importance of public involvement in health and social care research

This table outlines our governance structure. It is intended to create a simple and transparent way for us to continue working together to encourage and support each other so that each year we can report on real progress made.

The agenda and papers discussed at meetings of these groups are made available to all partners.
