Launch of new patient and public pages on HRA website

Published on 30 November 2016

The Health Research Authority is pleased to launch the new patient and public section on our website which will be of interest to patients, service users, carers and members of the public. The pages hold information on the research regulated and approved by the HRA, public involvement in research and how patients and the public can become involved in the work of the HRA.

The new pages have been developed by the HRA working alongside a patient and public group who helped us write the content, design the layout and feature in the videos we made with them.

The HRA is extremely grateful for their advice and input and we would like to say a big thank you to Amander, Anne-Laure, Debi, Manoj, Martin and Philip.

Anne-Laure said:

“Being involved in the complete redesign of the patient and public involvement and engagement pages on the website was a great co-production opportunity. The success of this first venture shows that it is worthwhile developing and supporting further close collaborative work between the HRA and patients and the public”

As set out in our strategy on public involvement the HRA is committed to improving the amount and quality of public involvement in health and social care research and within our own work.
